- Apple Grove Park, Route 191 North, Honesdale – picknicking.
- Audubon Society Browning Beaver Meadow – a 78-acre preserve featuring wildflowers, birds and waterfowl along a .75 mile trail, which open to the public.
- Audubon Society Price-Simpson Wetlands -- Near Lake Ariel, PA. Call 570 253-9250 for directions and regulations regarding visits.
- Beach Lake Driving Range—Route 652 in Beach Lake.
- Belmont Lake – 172 acre, state-owned lake with Fishing, boat ramp.
- Duck Harbor – 286 acre state owned lake with fishing and boat ramp.
- Carlton Drake Memorial Park, Route 507 in Newfoundland – ballfields, pavilion, playground, nature trail.
- Carousel Water and Fun Park, Route 652 Beach Lake – features water slides, wading pool, bumper boats, go-karts, mini golf, game room and snack bar.
- Catholic Family Center Fields – on Cliff Street in Honesdale; small sports field can host soccer, Little League, baseball/softball.
- Claws and Paws Wild Animal Park –Route 590 east of Hamlin. This zoo in the woods features more than 120 rare and exotic species like White Tiger, Giraffe, Monkeys, Snow Leopard, African Lion and Arctic Fox.
- Cricket Hill Golf- Cricket Hill Road; 18-hole, public golf course in Berlin Township.
- D&H Rail Trail - 38 miles long from Simpson to the New York border near Susquehanna, PA. Ten miles have been improved with a stone dust surface suitable for hybrid and mountain bikes. The improved section runs along the Upper Lackawanna River from Vandling to Herrick Center. It is also used by equestrians, runners and hikers. Other sections of the D&H are graded original railbed surface usable by mountain bikers and hikers.
- Damascus Forest – MacCubbins Road; Enjoy the varied landscape of wetlands, uplands and old growth forests on this easy two-mile loop trail.
- Damascus Park- Conklin Hill Road; pavilion, ballfield, walking trails and playground are open and available for public use. The park offers a volleyball court, horseshoe pit, baseball field and nature trails.
- D&H Canal Park at Lock 31- Wayne County Historical Society; 16 acre park with one mile of canal towpath trail & Riverside Trail.
- Delaware River Fish & Boat Commission Access Areas – Balls Eddy, Shehawken, Buckingham, Callicoon, Damascus, Narrowsburg/Darbytown.
- Dorflinger Suydam Sanctuary – the 600-acre preserve in White Mills is home to miles of walking trails, the Dorflinger Glass Museum and, in summer, the Wildflower Music Festival.
- Fun Station -- Main St. Gouldsboro; arcade and amusement center in the Poconos with a brand new Go Kart racing center, Miniature Golf, Bumper Cars, Route 66 Mini Bowling and the only 2-story Laser Tag in NEPA.
- Gouldsboro State Park – 10 miles of hiking trails; 8 miles of biking trails, picnic, swimming, boating, fishing, etc.
- Gouldsboro Union Park Association – 16 acre park in Lehigh Township with a ballfield, comfort station, concession stand, and walking trail
- Greene-Dreher-Sterling Fairgrounds – Route 507 in Newfoundland -- annual Fair from late August to Labor Day.
- Hawley Bingham Park – Main Avenue in Hawley; ballfields, tennis & basketball courts, comfort facilities; playgrounds, skate park, etc.
- Hawley Riverside Park – Church Street in Hawley; ballfield, Riverwalk Trail.
- Hideout Golf Course– private, 18-hole golf club in private development near Hamlin.
- Honesdale Central Park – between Court and Church Streets; playground, walking; summer concert series; holiday tree lighting program.
- Honesdale Gibbons Memorial Park at Irving Cliff off Cliff Street; hiking, great view of town.
- Honesdale Golf Club – private, 18-hole course in Honesdale.
- Honesdale Little Baseball Complex– Grove Street, Honesdale.

- Honesdale Riverside Park – along Park Street and next to Lackawaxen River. Trail to connect from Park Street to the River
- Honesdale Triangle Park- West Street and N. Main Street in Honesdale.
- Industrial Point – at the end of 11th Street in Honesdale provides fishing access to the Lackawaxen River.
- Kennedy's Grove Park – picnic pavilion in Waymart.
- Lacawac Sanctuary -- a nature center, environmental education center and biological field station located on 550 acres just on the Shore of Lake Wallenpaupack. It includes eight miles of hiking trails, the 52-acre glacial Lake Lacawac and an Adirondack-style great camp.
- Lake Alden/Long Pond – Fishing, boat ramp.
- Lake Henry Access- 308 acre, privately owned lake on the Lackawanna County border in Lake Township. The second largest lake in the county, second only to Lake Wallenpaupack, the Lake Henry Cottagers Association, which maintains a boat launch, campground and small resort-style vacation park along the west shore.
- Lake Lorraine Golf – 9-hole golf course in northern Wayne County.
- Lake Wallenpaupack: Camping, Hiking, Picnicking, Scenic views; Boating, fishing, handicap accessible fishing piers.
- Lower Woods Pond – currently closed.
- Memorial Links Golf – 9-hole course near Pleasant Mount.
- Miller Pond – Fishing, boat ramp.
- NEP Sno Trails -- With over 200 trail miles of trails, NEP Sno Trails is one of the largest trail systems in the state of Pennsylvania that is operated and maintained by a single organization. Since 1991 we have been committed to providing the best trails possible and always keep the safety of our riders first.
- O&W Trail Preston Park -- Bike, Mountain Biking, Snomobiling, Walking, XCountry Skiing;
- Paupack Township Recreaction Complex -- off Route 590 near Lakeville; Baseball/Softball fields, tennis courts, playground, pavilion, horseshoe pits, two walking trails,
- Pennsylvania's Best Fishing Waters -- “Pennsylvania’s Best Fishing Waters” is a program established by the state Fish and Boat Commission to serve as a valued resource to increase the accessibility of proven waters with the result of a more successful fishing trip. Wayne County is host to a variety of these waters.
- PennDOT Bicycle Route Y – follows Route 6 through Wayne County and is the state’s longest at 409 miles from the New York to the Ohio border.
- Pleasant Mount Fish Hatchery – Built in 1903, the facility consists of the 70- acre main hatchery, as well as Douglas Pond and Hankins Pond.
- Prompton Riverside Park -- in the borough of Prompton on Route 6 west of Honesdale.
- Prompton State Park -- provides picnicking facilities and boat launching on the 290-acre Prompton Lake, which is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Twenty-six miles of hiking trails surround the lake.
- Red Maples Golf Course --Route 296 near Waymart; 9-hole public course.
- Salem Rec. Complex/Hamlin Ball Fields – located behind the former Hamlin Elementary School on Route 191 south.
- State Game Lands – Wayne County is home to five State Game Lands, managed by the PA Game Commission. They include 159 mostly in Lebanon Township, includes a public shooting range; 299 in Scott Township; 300 partially in South Canaan Township; 310 in Lake Townshp; and 312 partially in Dreher Township.
- Tobyhanna State Park -- The 5,440-acre park includes the 170-acre Tobyhanna Lake and 10 miles of trails; picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, etc.
- Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River – stretches 73.4 miles from the headwaters in Hancock, NY to Mill Rift, PA. It features excellent fly fishing opportunities, as well as rafting, kayaking and canoeing.
- Upper Woods Pond – this deep, 80-acre glacial lake located in Lebanon Township t Gamelands 159, owned by the state and managed by the Fish & Boat Commission with fishing and boat ramp.
- Varden Conservation Area --Varden Conservation Area offers a variety of short hiking trails through farm fields, forests, and wetlands. Please stay on the trails and respect private property.
- Waymart Wayside Park – on Belmont Avenue features a playground, benches, and monuments. It is also home to seasonal events put on by Waymart Parties in the Park.
- Wayne County Fairgrounds -- Route 191 north of Honesdale; annual fair runs nine days from first Friday in August.
- Wayne County Park Street Complex – 650 Park St. Honesdale; playground, picnic tables, Start of River Trail.
- Wayne County Rec. Complex – off Route 652 in Berlin Township; Ballfields, trail & comfort facility.
- Wayne County YMCA – 105 Park St., Honesdale; The Y features a gymnasium for sports and programming for youth and adults, operates a Summer Day Camp for children. It offers group fitness classes, personal training and health coaches along with physical activity managemens for seniors.

- White Oak Pond– 225-acre state owned lake north of Waymart with fishing and boat ramp.
