Employment for any Wayne County Human Services position is covered through the Merit System, a Local Government Civil Service Employment System of the Pennsylvania Civil Service Commission. This system is based primarily on your work experience, education, qualifications and abilities to do the work rather than other non-merit factors. In order to be considered for any position vacancy your name must appear on a civil service list for that specific job title. The Civil Service Commission has thousands of job titles and testing programs depending on your background.
