Recorder of Deeds
About
The Recorder of Deeds Office is the custodian of the records and indexes relating to conveyance of land or the transfer of real property in the County. These include deeds, mortgages, subdivision plans, rights-of-way and easements. This office also records the commission and oaths of County officials, district justices and notaries public as well as maintaining copies of military discharges and numerous miscellaneous documents.
Fee for e-Recording
Notification of new fee for e-recording only, effective 1/1/2026:
A fee of $.50 (50 cents) per page copy fee will be charged for all helper documents to the REV-183 Realty Transfer Tax Statement of Value.
Retrieving e-Records
Records are available online through landex.com. Frequent users can sign up to use the remote services as a customer, see www.landex.com/remote. One-time users can simply use the webstore search at www.landex.com/webstore.
Free Index Search
Anyone wishing to search their name to see if any documents have been recorded recently can use the webstore search option. Click on this link www.landex.com/webstore The index searching is free to use and there is not a fee until you purchase copies of documents to download and print.

Exceptions
The following documents cannot be e-recorded. A paper submission is required.
- Subdivision plans.
- Deeds that are taxable in multiple jurisdictions.
The Recorder of Deeds office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. however no papers will be accepted for recording after 4 p.m.
