Center Activities & Programs

Wayne County Senior Centers in Honesdale, Hawley and Hamlin have reopened for activities and congregate meals.

Each Center offers an enjoyable and informative variety of activities, programs and special events.

Programs

Programs vary weekly and monthly, many reflecting National awareness events and themes, such as Nutrition, Volunteering, Older American’s Month, Energy Awareness, etc. Informative programs present topical, educational material and seminars throughout the year. Our Prime Time Health Programs are scheduled weekly in all Senior Centers and often in community focal points.

Activities

Many activities are weekly events, such as cards, bridge, canasta and pinochle, along with other table games like Bingo, dominoes and chess. Other weekly activities include writing groups, quilting, exercise, dance and art classes. Holidays and special events are always festive and fun, combining traditional and delicious foods with a party spirit and warm companionship.
